Meet the Rising Sun Dog Walk Team

Hi, I’m Maddi!  I have over a year of experience as a professional dog walker and have a deep passion for working with animals. As a psychology major in college, I bring both dedication and understanding to my work. Outside of my studies and career, I enjoy spending quality time with my kitty. I’m thrilled to be part of the Rising Sun Dog Walking team and look forward to meeting your furry family members!

Hi! My name is Kelly! After 5 years of staying home with my children, I decided to take my passion of caring for others to the animal world. With my kids in school, I found myself longing for more companionship (and exercise!), leading me to dog walking! When I am not dog walking I am spending time with my family and friends, taking photographs, running, shopping or hopefully sitting on the beach somewhere! I have never known a life without a dog! We rescued our pup Auggie (the cutest pitfall mix around) 8 years ago in South Carolina I am so excited and honored to be a part of the Rising Sun Dog Walking Team, I can't wait to love on all your fur babies!!

Hi my name is Lizzy! I am a nature and animal lover at heart. Growing up I loved watching nature shows, and have a fascination with wildlife. I have a degree in communication, and a teaching certification in science. Aside from tutoring students, I am also a volunteer at a local animal shelter and have professional experience as a kennel technician. I love caring for creatures of all shapes and sizes, and I am excited to be a part of Rebecca's team at Rising Sun!

Hi I'm Alexa! Everyone has their own idea of what is great for them. For me, working with a great team and spending my days with animals is a perfect day and working as a professional dog walker since 2022 has given me exactly that.
I was brought up with animals but the one that lead me in this direction was my rescue dog Taz. He was so scared and reactive when I met him and soon became my best friend and we created a bond that changed my life and made me want to understand relationships other people have with their animals. My favorite times with Taz were going for short hikes and watching him, my Chihuahua, play with my parent’s German Shepard. Taz was always the boss!
Currently I have two ferrets, Freddie and Ollie and a frog, Kahlua that provide love and laughs. Spending time with your fur families fills me with love as well!

Hi! My name Katarina; you can call me Kat for short! Animals have always been a significant part of my life. Growing up my family had dogs, cats, skunks, bats, sugar gliders, hedgehogs, pigs, cows, horses, chickens, baby alligators, snakes.. well you get the idea.. In high school, I was part of FFA and Agriculture and even got to raise and show my own steer for the fair. Now my partner and I have 3 pups that we love dearly - a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Sarge, a Pittie named Kolby, and an American Bully named Kandi Kane. It has always been my dream to work with animals!

I am very excited to join Rising Sun Dog Walk team and love on all of your fur babies!

Hi! My name is Tori! I've had animals all my life, ever since I was a little girl. I knew working with animals was what I wanted to do! I have worked with animals for a couple of years now and since starting with Rising Sun in 2022, I am confident and excited in getting my career started! I am studying veterinary medicine, shadowing a dog trainer and cannot wait to help all of the animals in need.

Hi, I’m Alicia!  I have always had a love and passion for animals. In fact, as a child I trained and showed my dog in events throughout New England. I have a background in fundraising and am currently a Development Manager for a foster-based dog rescue. In my spare time I volunteer at a local animal sanctuary and provide care to the many cats that call it their home. I love spending time with both my human and fur children. I am excited to work with the Rising Sun team and meet your pups!

Hi! My name is Liz, and I have always had dogs while growing up. Currently, I have a 10-year-old miniature dachshund, and he is the apple of my eye. I have always loved animals, and part of what I studied in college was zoology. When I’m not dog walking, I enjoy volunteering at a local dog rescue and spending time with my kids. I love being a part of the Rising Sun team, and I can’t wait to help take care of your pets!

Hi! My name is Michelle. Ask me what I want to be when I grow up. The answer has always involved animals and started as "An Olympic cross-country equestrian". From there it became "a veterinarian". Life had different plans for me however and professionally lead me into a great career in Retail for the last 30 years. My personal life has always involved animals and that dream of working more with animals has come true! If you are looking for me, I will be outside with my dogs, walking in the woods, on the beach or just enjoying the weather in the yard.  As a prior along time customer I am thrilled to now be a part the Rising Sun Dog Walk Team.
